Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation launches mobile app to help tourists

CHENNAI: Information about popular tourist spots in Tamil Nadu is now available at the click of a button on your mobile phone.

Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) on Friday launched a mobile app (compatible with Android and Apple smartphones) as part of its efforts to attract more domestic and international visitors to explore the state.

Tourism minister Vellamandi N. Natarajan launched the mobile application named "Pinakin" in Tamil and English on Friday.

"The mobile app will be helpful for both domestic and international tourists with inbuilt audio facilities, featuring information heritage tourist spots like Mamallapuram, Thanjavur Big Temple and Gangai Konda Cholapuram," an official release said.
