Las Vegas: Think Las Vegas and what immediately comes to your mind is a city which never sleeps, bustling with casinos, clubs and endless fun. The city has always been associated with its iconic marquee lights, which have made the Las Vegas strip the most recognisable sight of the city. It is even said that when viewed from space, Las Vegas stands out as one of the brightest city of the continent.
Adding to the list of attractions on the Vegas trip is the most awaited structure of the Eiffel Tower. The half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower on the Strip has debuted with a new light show. The landmark at the Paris Las Vegas casino resort on Wednesday unveiled the new show featuring synchronised twinkling and coloured lights.
Casino operator Caesars Entertainment says 6,000 strobe and programmable coloured LED lights were installed on the tower’s exterior. Chef Guy Savoy and legendary singer and actress Line Renaud, both French, were expected to participate in the unveiling of the five-minute show.
The 541-foot-tall (165-meter-tall) tower opened in September 1999. It features a restaurant and an observation deck that allows for 360-degree views of Las Vegas. It is definitely a must-watch for all those planning a trip to Vegas.
