Alliance Air Flight Leaves Passengers Fuming As Baggage Gets Left Behind

Vijayawada: A travel nightmare unfolded for 13 passengers at Vijayawada International Airport on Saturday. Their Alliance Air flight to Bengaluru took off without their luggage, leaving them stranded at their destination.

The cause of this incident appears to be a technical glitch in the airline's load-bearing system. Airport director M. Lakshmi Kanti Reddy confirmed that the flight departed Vijayawada for Bengaluru without the aforementioned passengers' baggage.

Fortunately, the missing luggage was located and promptly shipped onwards to Bengaluru on an Indigo flight. Alliance Air representatives are currently contacting the affected passengers to ensure they can collect their belongings upon arrival.

The annual Haj pilgrimage commences Monday, with 700 pilgrims departing Vijayawada Airport for Mecca between May 27 and 29.

Starting June 15, Air India will operate a direct flight connecting Vijayawada and Mumbai. This daily service offers convenient departure and arrival times, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The Mumbai-Vijayawada leg departs at 3:55 PM and arrives at 5:45 PM, while the return flight departs Vijayawada at 7:10 PM and arrives in Mumbai at 9:00 PM. This new route is expected to significantly benefit international travelers seeking connections to onward destinations from Mumbai.
