Call maadi, love maadi

You could even write a post or proposal dedicated to that special person or even put across your message visually.

Connecting with old friends and family, #14daysoflove, an initiative by a city-based lad is looking to record nostalgic moments with long lost peeps.

What if you could reconnect with your college crush after a decade of not staying in touch with her? What if you could make one call to that long lost best buddy you stopped talking to in school? Poster Boy Art Studios in association with Project Gypsy is giving social media users a chance to revisit their yester years as part of their #14DaysOfLove initiative, which kicked off yesterday. This evocative project is giving people a chance to have real life phone conversations with old friends, school teachers, former crushes and more.

Talking about this initiative which is giving Bengalureans a chance of reminiscence, Puneeth BA, creative head at Poster Boy Art Studios, says, “Everyday, we will post an episode featuring common people making phone calls to somebody very special in their life. It could be their school crush or their office love. The episode will be uploaded on our YouTube channel and on our digital platform page — Ideeria (on Facebook). We’ve had someone who called his sister and another person who called his office crush! We also want other social media users to participate by making a video/short film of their phone call to capture the whole moment and posting it online with the hashtag ‘14DaysOfLove.’ It doesn’t necessarily have to be a crush, you could also phone a friend you stopped talking to because of ego issues. It’s about calling someone who you haven’t kept in touch with or expressed your feelings for.”

You could even write a post or proposal dedicated to that special person or even put across your message visually. “These 14 days are about expressing what you’ve felt about different people,” adds Puneeth, who admits that the idea was born from his own life as he was a lad who never really expressed what he felt. “I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Sandhya Prakash and Sandeep Hatti, who’ve backed me on the production end,” he adds.

The final episode which will be aired on Valentines’ Day and will have a fun filmy twist to it as Belandingala Baale actress Suman Nagarkar will be calling the flick’s director Sunil Kumar Desai to have a tete-e-tete with him. “When you talk of phone calls with a personal touch, that is the movie that usually comes to mind. The entire film had Anant Nag talking to a girl whose face is not shown throughout. So, we’re making the finale exciting by making Suman call Sunil, where she will talk about her experience of working on the hit cinema, why he’s special in her life etc,” says Puneeth.

If you’re yearning to reconnect with that one person whose voice you’d love to hear, then go ahead and hashtag your way into this nostalgic initiative.
