CAC Friday Cinema will conduct a one-month-long Brazilian Film Festival, starting from Decmeber 6.
The festival will begin at CAC Auditorium in Kochi on 6.30 pm. In a press release, the organisers have informed that the entry will be open to all without any registration fee.
The festival will feature movies, including Portrait of a Lady on Fire on 6th, Long Way Home on 13th, Arabia on 20th and, Just Like Our Parents on 27th.
Portrait of a Lady on Fire directed by Celine Sciamma talks about a young painter in 18th century France. Marianne is commissioned to do the wedding portrait of Heloise without her knowledge.
Therefore, Marianne must observe her model by day to paint her portrait at night. Day by day, the two women become closer as they share Heloise's last moments of freedom before the impending wedding.
