Man's rectum falls out after he plays phone games on toilet for 30 minutes

A man from south-east China had to rush to the hospital at midnight after noticing a mysterious ball-sized lump fallen out of his anus.

The man, whose rectum fell out, could have had suffered the injury after spending 30 minutes on the toilet playing video games, doctors think.

The victim, whose identity remains unknown was rushed to the hospital after the six-inch body part fell out later in the day and he was told that it was likely to have been caused by a session on the loo playing his favourite video game.

According to doctors, spending too much time sitting on the toilet can weaken the pelvic muscles.

According to a story published in The Mai, Doctor Su Dan said that the patient had rectal prolapse since he was four years old, but the bulge was able to retract in the past.

"But he did not have the condition treated, so the situation got worse."

In fact, his condition was so bad that his rectum had become fully detached from the rest of his lower intestines.

But doctors in the Guangdong province of China were able to successfully operate on the man allowing him to make a full recovery.

The protruding piece of his rectum is reported to have been removed by surgeons.

The patient was treated by Dr Su Dan from the gastrointestinal surgery division of The Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
