Campaign over, time to chill
Hectic campaigning under the hot sun, and in grueling dust and smoke — right from dawn to dusk — has sure taken a toll on our politicos, who went all guns blazing against their opponents in the last several weeks. Now, it is finally time for some me-time.
Top notch spa treatments, yoga and meditation, family bonding, body detoxes and perhaps even facials are on the cards for netas who are in the mood for some serious chilling out after the grueling campaigning. Not to forget that it’s much needed too!
Will YSRC boss Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy head for a facial to get rid of the sun-burn tan he acquired due to campaigning for hours under the hot sun?
“We don’t know whether he will get a facial done but during campaigning, Anna was taking in a lot of dust. He has started to inhale steam to cleanse his respiratory system. Now that the campaigning is over, he is also looking forward to spending time with wife Bharati and his two daughters, Harsha and Varsha, with whom he has hardly any time to catch up,”' reveals a source close to Jagan.
He adds that Jagan wakes up at 4 in the morning and does some serious exercise as he is a gym freak. “During campaigning, his diet had also changed. At nights, he would only eat some pieces of jaggery,” he shares.
In actor Balakrishna’s case, since he and his two sons-in-law are in the election fray, the whole family was on the campaign trail. They are now looking forward to relaxing and spending time with each other. Balakrishna’s wife Vasundhara, said, “After hectic campaigning, we are planning a family gettogether this weekend at my place, with our entire family. Both my daughters — Nara Brahmani, and Tejaswini and her husband Sribharat, will be there. About Naidu garu I am not sure, but all are invited. Bhuvaneswari said she will come if she’s in the city. Aame is with Lokesh. About Purandheswari, will have to check her availability.”
Meanwhile, one of the richest candidates in the country, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has chosen a top notch spa session to relax. “Spa and doses of yoga will help me to recuperate and rejuvenate myself. Thereafter, I am off to campaign in other states for friends contesting the Lok Sabha elections,” declares Vishweshwar Reddy.
“I will spend some time with my family,” says Khammam Congress leader Renuka Chowdary, who adds that she would like to unwind by listening to music and playing with her grandson. “I would be doing a lot of reading too,” she says, before heading off to other states to campaign for the party. “Only after the elections are over will I head for a family vacation in the month of May” she states.
Kalvakuntla Kavitha, TRS MP, who has two sons — Aaditya and Aarya Devanapalli — is known for managing her time well. She maintains a good balance between work and family. “I will definitely take off a day or two to spend time with my kids. These days, they are having exams and are not on holiday. I am still looking forward to being with them again after 20 days,” says the mother of two.
