Man takes eight years to breed python with yellow smilies on its back
Such patterns are a result of recessive mutations that despite occurring naturally are an extremely rare phenomenon in the wild.
Animal breeding can sometimes go on to produce quite fascinating results. A man is now the proud owner of a python with yellow smiley faces on its body after eight years of effort.
Justin Kobylka specialises in breeding snakes with unique patterns which he later puts up for sale. Such patterns are a result of recessive mutations that despite occurring naturally are an extremely rare phenomenon in the wild.
This particular snake is a Lavender Albino Piebald Ball Python and is the only snake in the world that has three smiley faces on it. Although the reptile is said to be worth at least $US4, 500, its owner has no plans to sell it, according to the Business Insider.
