She tells us about her musical favourites:
One song you have on repeat on your iPod these days: It’s not a new song, but I’ve recently been obsessed with Bright (Echosmith).
Can you name five songs that best describe your life which would those be and why?
Respect (Aretha Franklin), because respect is the principle I live by, Masterpiece (Jessie J), because it’s a reminder that it’s okay to be a work in progress, When You Believe (Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey), because it reminds me of my belief in the universe. Beautiful (Christina Aguilera), because it emphasises the importance of self-esteem, Allah Ke Bande (Kailash Kher), because the lyrics are an inspirational guiding principle.
Is there a song you love to listen to when:
You’re happy and upbeat: I Gotta Feeling (The Black Eyed Peas).
You’re really low: Rise Up by Andra Day, or Kal Ho Na Ho (title soundtrack).
You’re working out: A remix of Katy Perry songs from Teenage Dream and Prism
How would you describe your taste in music?
Eclectic pop and soul with a propensity for strong female voices.
Favourite time to listen to music: While taking a shower or while walking and in the car.
One band/musician that you want a private concert from: Tori Kelly.
One live act you would love to see at least once in your life: Taylor Swift.
