Modi elected as NDA Parliamentary party leader unanimously

New Delhi: All alliance partners of NDA unanimously passed a resolution to make Narendra Modi leader of NDA parliamentary party.The resolution was passed at the Parliamentary party meeting of NDA at Samvidhan Sadan (Old Parliament) on Friday afternoon.

Modi respectfully touched the Constitution of India with his forehead as he arrived for the meeting. Newly elected MPs, Chief Ministers and other leaders of the NDA chant 'Modi-Modi' slogans during the meeting at Samvidhan Sadan.

Addressing MPs, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh credited Modi for expanding BJP-led NDA, saying the alliance was not compulsion but commitment for BJP. Another senior leader Amit Shah proposed Modi's name as leader of NDA parliamentary party, paving the way for him to take oath as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term.

One more senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari and other NDA leaders proposed to make Modi leader of BJP in Lok Sabha, BJP parliamentary party and NDA parliamentary party.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and other NDA leaders including TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu were present at the meeting.
