AIMIM not committed to welfare of minorities: Revanth Reddy
TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy slammed the MIM for showing step-motherly love towards the minorities. He questioned the AIMIM chief why the party had fielded a Muslim candidate against Congress MP candidate former cricketer Mohd. Azharuddin in the Jubilee Hills constituency while refraining to do so from Goshamahal from where the BJP had fielded T. Raja Singh as the MP candidate.
Revanth Reddy tried to point out that the BJP, AIMIM and BRS are aligned but trying to cheat the people saying that their ideologies differ from each other.
At the same time, Revanth also urged the party workers to strive for the victory of Azharuddin from the constituency. He also introduced party MLA candidate Naveen Reddy, son of senior politician Srisailam Reddy, who joined the Congress and asked the party cadre to cooperate with him. He also said that the party would take advice from Srisailam Reddy in crucial matters.
The MIM gave ticket to Naveen Reddy in 2014 but refused to repeat it in 2018. Then Naveen Reddy contested as an Independent. This time, he joined the Congress.

With Jubilee Hills MP candidate Azharuddin and MLA candidate Naveen Reddy beside him, Revanth Reddy asked the party functionaries to strive for their victory.
He also ridiculed KCR family for trying to claim that it was due to their efforts that separate Telangana became a reality. "Had not Soniaji accorded separate statehood to Telangana, KCR and his family members would have begged sitting in front of Nampally railway station and Birla Mandir," he said.
