7th phase elections register 61.63 per cent voting: ECI

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has informed the seventh and final phase of polling of Lok Sabha elections covering 57 Parliament Constituencies in eight States registered an approximate voter turnout of 61.63 per cent as of 11.45 pm on Saturday.

Of the eight States, West Bengal registered highest voting percentage of 73.36 followed by Odisha 70.67 per cent and Jharkhand 70.66 per cent. Bihar registered less percentage of 51.92 per cent.

In Odisha, 42 Assembly Constituencies also went to polls simultaneously with the Parliamentary Constituencies. With the conclusion of seventh phase, polling for general elections-2024 came to an end.

Counting of votes for PCs and State Legislative Assemblies of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha is scheduled on June 4, according to ECI.
