Hyderabad: Social incubator AIC-IIITH selected 10 greentech start-ups for the EPAM Social Impact Innovation Programme with a focus on circular economy, resource solutions, and green energy. The programme will provide these greentech start-ups with equity-free grants of up to Rs 5 lakh and incubation support as well.
The start-ups will also be able to use the expertise and resources of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), IIITH’s deep-tech incubator. The selected start-ups are Accelo Innovation, Pro Zero Carbon, Cero Smart Mobility, Ambiator, Angirus Ind, BioReform, R Buy Smart Refill, Enerlyf, Motorall, and Unbubble.
Meanwhile, 12 social start-ups graduated from the incubator.
Till date, AIC-IIITH has run six cohorts and supported more than 50 start-ups with incubation support and Rs 2.5 crore of funding. The startups are solving challenges in agriculture, education, accessibility, climate and have created about 450 jobs, a release said.
