Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kakinada district president Ch. Ramkumar demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu enrol Rythu Bharosa Kendra employees as contract staff.
Ramkumar said when the government issued guidelines for RBK staff, it took them as contract staff for 11 months. Later, it started treating them as seasonal employees, giving them salaries for only two months.
RBK employees, on their part, submitted a representation to civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar requesting him to provide job security by at least making them contract employees.
They said they have been appointed as they have all qualifications for doing the job. The government should thus regularise their services.
