Centre requests emergency visa for Indian Student battling life in USA
The hospital emailed the family, requesting that they come to the US as soon as possible because of her condition.

After a Maharashtrian student sustained injuries in an accident in the USA, the central government has reached out to the US government for an urgent visa for the family of the student.
Neelam Shinde, a student from Satara district in Maharashtra, is currently fighting for her life in an American hospital after sustaining severe injuries in a road accident.
The accident took place on February 14, and a person has been arrested in connection. The woman's family was informed by her roommate, two days after the incident happened.
Shinde sustained severe injuries to her head, hands, legs, and chest. Additionally, she had to undergo surgery instantly because of her head injury.
The hospital emailed the family, requesting that they come to the US as soon as possible because of her condition.
A few days back, Shinde's mother also passed away.
To get the immediate visa, her family went to the passport office while approaching Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, former MLA Balasaheb Patil, and former MP Shriniwas Patil, Her uncle told the media.
She also said, "But they were left in disappointment. There has been no help from the government till date."
However, Supriya Sule, leader of NCP (SP) requested External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to assist the Shinde family in obtaining a US visa.
Taking to her X, Sule tagged the External Affairs Ministry and S. Jaishanker, and said, "Student Neelam Shinde has met with an accident in the USA and is hospitalised in a local hospital."
"Her father, Tanaji Shinde, from Satara, Maharashtra, India, urgently needs to visit his daughter due to a medical emergency. Tanaji Shinde has applied for an urgent visa to the USA and requires assistance," she added further.
