College Students Drive SUV into Sea for Reel, Get Stranded
Hyderabad: Two college students got into trouble while performing stunts with SUVs on a beach and recording a reel in Bhadreshwar, Mundra Town, Kutch, Gujarat.
Karan Sorathiya, 23, and Paresh Sorathiya, 23 have been booked by Mundra marine police after they took their Mahindra Thar in the sea, to make a reel.
As per reports, a video of the two men stranded with their Thar in the high tide was shared on social media and quickly went viral.
In the video, two Thars, white and red in color submerged in Bhadrareshwar beach. The red one is partially immersed in the high tide, while the white one just has tires submerged in water.
At the end of the video, the two boys can be seen attempting to take the red Thar out by lifting it.
As per the Times of India, when the incident occurred, the men were in their cars on a crowded beach and splashing water on others.
Narendra Jadeja, Sub-Inspector of Mundra Marine police station told Times of India, that the video was shot 15 days before going viral. He also mentioned that the cars got stuck and submerged because it was time for high tide, due to which the two men had to call and seek assistance from villagers. "The people from a nearby village used a tractor to pull out the two vehicles from the water," he said.
According to Police, one of the drivers of the car was detained and they were questioning him.
