Congress will hand over projects to KRMB: BRS
Hyderabad: The BRS party on Saturday reiterated its allegation that the Congress government has decided to hand over the state’s projects on Krishna river, including Srisailam left bank power house and Nagarjunasagar dam, to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), saying that “this is a serious issue.”
Former minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy told reporters that as per the minutes of the January 17 meeting, headed by the Union water resources ministry, which also had the presence of officials from KRMB, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, it becomes clear that the Telangana government has agreed to hand over the projects to KRMB.
He said that the BRS government had zealously protected the state’s interests while the Congress government is apparently willing to give away the state’s rights in a move that will benefit Andhra Pradesh.
“This is a big conspiracy. We said no such move will be allowed until our share of water is finalized. And if the minutes are wrong, then it is tantamount to a big crime. The state government must protect Telangana’s interests,” he said.
