CPI Appreciates EC for Transparent Elections in AP
Kakinada: Communist Party of India (CPI) state secretary K. Ramakrishna on Saturday said the Election Commission has conducted elections in a transparent manner, with IAS, IPS and other officials from DGP to IG level having been suspended or transferred for alleged bias.
Speaking to media at Rajamahendravaram, Ramakrishna charged that Jagan Mohan Reddy had planned to win elections with the help of police, But the Election Commission has foiled his bid.
He wanted the upcoming government in AP to hold a detailed probe against sand mafia. At the national level, he wanted the new government to probe Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s religious comments during the election campaign with a fear of defeat.
Ramakrishna called upon secular and democratic forces to raise their voice against Modi’s criticism that INDIA alliance, on coming to power, will hand over SC, ST and BC reservations to Muslims and Lord Rama’s statue at Ayodhya will be placed in a tent and temples destroyed.
The CPI leader called upon TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC chief and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to fight for secularism and against Modi.
