Two held for robbery in Vanasthalipuram, property seized

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police arrested two persons, Nelapudi Suresh Kumar and Paramjit Singh, for alleged robbery at Vanasthalipuram and recovered stolen property from them on Monday.

Singh was involved in five thefts and Suresh in three in the past, said LB Nagar DCP B. Sai Sree. Police also found that three days ago, the duo had entered a home while posing as delivery agents and robbed an elderly woman.

She said the Vanasthalipuram police said had stopped the two, who were riding a two-wheeler, during vehicle checking at Injapur crossroads. As they did not have vehicle documents and did not respond properly to the queries, police questioned them. The duo then confessed to theft. They are produced before a court and sent to judicial remand, the police said.
