Two get jail for beating up fellow KSRTC staff
The convicted were Kannur KSRTC depot controlling inspector Sajith Sadanandan and another employee V.V. Praveen.
KANNUR: Two employees of KSRTC were sentenced to one-month imprisonment and fined Rs 1,500 for beating up another employee P.K. Rajesh alleging that he had leaked out news to media regarding irregularities committed by the duo.
The convicted were Kannur KSRTC depot controlling inspector Sajith Sadanandan and another employee V.V. Praveen. The incident was a sequel to news reports that the duo had trampled with the electronic billing machine causing a drain to KSRTC’s kitty.
Kannur town police had registered a case based on the complaint of Mr Rajesh. Though KSRTC vigilance department had submitted a report earlier in 2013 against Sajith for creating fraudulent documents to bag promotion, KSRTC is yet to take any action against him.
