Vijayawada: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped a sub-inspector of police accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 at his residence in Bhavani Nagar, Guntur district on Saturday.
According to ACB officials, an accused in a case approached the Nallapadu SI, Katti Venkataiah, seeking his favor to avoid arrest. Venkataiah demanded a bribe of Rs 40,000, and the accused alerted the ACB.
The ACB trapped Venkataiah red-handed while accepting the bribe.
