TD leader jailed for forging documents
Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday arrested TD leader Gajula Vijay Gnaneshwar Naidu for allegedly forging documents of a flat sale and falsely moving the civil court.
However, the police’s forensic investigation found that Naidu allegedly forged the documents. He was produced in court and sent to judicial remand.
Rounak Koteja, a businessman from Mumbai, lodged a complaint in August 2022 against Naidu for allegedly forging documents of his flat in a bid to take control of it. The police registered a case and during the investigation, found that Naidu had moved the civil court over the dispute.
Through the court, the police obtained the documents submitted by Naidu and sent them for forensic analysis, which found that signatures on both documents belonged to different persons.
Meanwhile, Naidu had moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail. The High Court stayed his arrest for three weeks from September 28 and directed the police to follow the procedure as per CrPC. However, after three weeks, Naidu went absconding.
“Efforts to nab him continued and he was nabbed on Tuesday and sent to judicial remand,” said S. Rajashekar Reddy, inspector of Jubilee Hills police.
