Hyderabad: Peddler couple held with 106 grams of cocaine, cash
Hyderabad: A couple who was operating from Bengaluru and supplying drugs to customers by hiring drug peddlers was arrested by the excise cops on Monday. The couple sold the drugs mainly to techies in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The cocaine was smuggled into the country via the sea route.
The cops reportedly had laid a trap for them for over six months following the arrest of two drug peddlers who worked under the couple. The couple was reportedly in business for the last three years.
Following the back to back arrests of several Africans, who were the peddlers, by the Hyderabad excise cops, the main supplier and kingpin of the gang’s business started feeling the heat. Following this, he along with his girlfriend, Toure Aminata, came to the city to deliver the drug to customers.
Deputy commissioner, excise, C. Vivekananda Reddy said, “We nabbed him along with his girlfriend in Sanathnagar at a residence and seized 106 grams of cocaine along with Rs 70,000 cash, a mobile and a two-wheeler.”
