HYDERABAD: Falaknuma police and south zone task force on Saturday imposed a preventive detention PD Act on a notorious offender, who is involved in 16 cases, and is accused of disturbing peace and tranquillity.
The accused Syed Ayub, (34), a social worker and member of Hyderabad Youth Courage (HYC) along with his associate used to mislead the public by posting false information on social media platforms.
The city Special Branch (SB) and city cyber cell identified the culprit and submitted reports to the higher officials.
To curb his illegal activities, city police commissioner C.V Anand issued preventive detention orders against Ayub. He has been lodged in Chanchalguda central prison.
