Salem: Police have arrested a 47-year-old doctor of a private medical hospital for sexually abusing a woman, who visited the hospital for treatment.
Police said the victim, a 28-year-old woman from Tharamangalam, had visited VVP hospital on Sangagiri road with complaints of severe stomach pain. “S Srinivasan, a doctor and owner of the hospital, had groped and behaved in an inappropriate manner with the woman,” police said. When she resisted his advances, the doctor had threatened to kill her, if she revealed the incident to anyone. The woman is married and has two children.
