Hyderabad: The District Education Officer (DEO) of Hyderabad has closed down the Azaan Gems School with immediate effect. The children will be accommodated in nearby schools. According to a report submitted to the DEO, the school management has violated rules, has not provided safety measures for the pre-primary class children and does not have recognition. The parents of the pre-primary children have been asked to attend a meeting at the school premises on October 3 to select the school in which they wish to admit their children. Fees will be reimbursed according to the DEO’s instructions.
The decision to close the school was taken after the school was served a show-cause notice. According to the report submitted to the DEO, the school management has violated the rules in force and has not provided safety measures to the pre-primary class children. The classes are on the third floor when they should be on the ground floor. Moreover, the management is running pre-primary classes without obtaining recognition.
