Hyderabad: A 45-year-old labour contractor was brutally murdered by three persons over a land dispute, at Medchal under Cyberabad commissionerate in the early hours of Thursday. Police said the victims identified as Mohd Ghouseuddin of Medchal.
According to police, Ghouseuddin’s brothers-in-law — Syed Latheeef, Syed Altaf and Syed Mubeen — were involved in the murder. The victim’s wife Shabana Begum purchased 225 sq. yards of land near Medchal. Her parents helped her for the same, but it was registered in the name of her father. After her parents passed away, her brothers started demanding a share in the land. After much pressure, she agreed to give 50 yards of land each to her three brothers, but did not complete the registration on their names.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, the brothers came to their home, picked up an argument over the issue and attacked Ghouseuddin with knife and sticks. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police registered a murder case against the accused and started an investigation.
