Mystery Over Anantapur Inter Student's Death
Anantapur: Suspicion has arisen over the death of an intermediate student at a private junior college in Anantapur led to tension.
Sources said Sudha, 17, from Rayadurg had been studying senior intermediate at Nalanda Junior College near the railway station in Anantapur. College management informed her parents that their daughter had committed suicide after falling from the fourth floor of the college-cum-hostel building.
But when her parents rushed to the college on Friday, they found injuries only on her throat. No bones had been broken and there was no blood on the body of the girl or the place where she allegedly fell.
TD politburo member and former minister Kalava Srinivasulu demanded that police should conduct a detailed probe into the incident.
Students’ unions sought action against the college management for cooking up a story that the girl had committed suicide in the college.
