Karnataka: Teacher accused of abducting male student
Kalaburagi: A 40-year-old teacher of a private school here, who had allegedly developed a physical relationship with her teenaged student, has been charged with getting the boy kidnapped.
The hapless parents of the boy had approached the police to trace him after he had been missing for three months. The victim, Nawaz (name changed), a tenth standard student of a private school in the Shaik Roja layout here came in contact with his teacher at the school and they got into a relationship.
When the management came to know that she was having physical relationship with the boy, they dismissed the teacher from service. But the teacher allegedly continued with her relationship.
When the boy started turning up very late in the night at home and became irregular at the school, the parents approached the school management.
They were shocked when they leant that he had continued with the relationship.
They counselled the boy and even punished him, but he remained persistent. The boy was said to have told his parents that the teacher had drugged him to have relationship with him.
He reportedly left his house in November 2016 and after their unsuccessful bid to trace him, the parents approached the police. In the complaint, the parents alleged that the boy had been kidnapped by the ex-teacher. The police have lodged a complaint and begun investigation.
