Jaipur: A Muslim youth was beaten to death by his girl friend’s family in Bikaner on Tuesday night. The police has registered a case and arrested three persons.
According to superintendent of police Sawai Singh Godara, the family of the 21-year-old Hindu girl did not approve of her relationship with 22-year-old Muslim boy Saif Ali who was a daily wage labourer in the fruit market.
The accused hatched a conspiracy and took Saif, who went to meet the girl in Rampura Basti around 9 pm, to a desert place on the outskirts of the city where they severely beat him up. They later dumped him in a drain.
The SP said that a police team reached the spot after being informed by an eye witness. Saif who was seriously injured with both legs broken was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed.
