Kurnool: Madiga Venkanna, a 39-year-old farmer from Iron Banda B.Centre village in Devanakonda mandal, died by suicide on Monday evening.
Venkanna cultivated various crops like tomato, chilli, cotton, and others on his three-and-a-half-acre farm and had borrowed Rs 4 lakh to take up his agricultural activities. However, he had been facing huge losses for the past 3-4 years.
Police sub-inspector Bhupal said the body has been sent for post-mortem and the police have registered a case based on the complaint of his family members.
