Hyderabad: Panjagutta police registered a cheating case against two persons, P Vijay Kumar and Dupatti Sudhakar, on charges of cheating several people under the pretext of high returns for investment in their gold schemes. The two made people invest in Abharna jewellers but did not pay returns as promised.
One of the victims, Md. Mimunisa Khasim from Jubilee Hills, in her complaint, said that Vijay Kumar told them the amount deposited in the scheme would double within six months and gold ornaments worth that amount would be given to those who deposit in Abharna jewellers scheme. Along with Khasim, many of her relatives also invested in the scheme.
However, the promoters did not pay anything even after she had invested amounts over six months back. The accused have all together duped people to the tune of around ₹5 lakh.
