Madurai: A gang hurled country made bombs at a lorry causing injuries to three persons near Palamedu in the small hours on Wednesday. The gang, which came in a car, intercepted a lorry loaded with paint materials and attacked the driver 'Car' Pandi and the two cleaners Alagarswamy and Balamurgan.
When they tried to defend themselves, the gang hurled the bombs at the lorry. Hearing the noise, villagers began gathering, but the gang escaped in the car. The police admitted the injured persons in the hospital.
