Look-out notice for murder accused
KAKINADA: Musunuru police have issued a look out notice for Devarapalli Ravindra alias Ravi, an accused in a murder case.
According to Nuziveedu Rural circle inspector Ankababu, Songu Jesu Mariyamma, (33) of Katrenipadu village in Musunuru mandal of Nuziveedu mandal in Eluru district, had married a person 16 years ago. After she gave birth to a baby, named Akhila, her husband deserted her.
Thereafter, Mariyamma developed a live-in relationship with a mechanic Devarapalli Ravindra, belonging to Eluru but residing in Chatrai village. On Friday midnight, Ravindra killed Mariyamma with a crowbar. When her daughter Akhila woke up, Ravindra strangled her too to death. He then locked the house and fled from the spot.
On Saturday, Mariyamma’s brother called her number but got response. The same night, he reached Mariyamma’s house but found it locked. When he saw an open window, he peeped through it. He saw his sister and her daughter in a pool of blood. He immediately informed Musunuru police who registered a case.
Eluru superintendent of police Rahul Dev Sarma and Nuzvid DSP Ashok Kumar Gowd visited the spot. Clues teams gathered evidence.
CI Ankababu said on Sunday that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. A look-out notice has been issued against Ravindra. Four teams led by two circle inspectors and four sub-inspectors are searching for the accused.
Ankababu said they are using technology to trace and nab the accused.
