Warangal: Rs 5.8 crore hidden in car seat seized
Warangal: Police on Tuesday recovered Rs 5,85,65,000 in cash from a car at Pembarti village in Jangaon district. The police at the check-post found the cash hidden inside the back seat. Commissioner of Police V. Ravinder said three persons travelling inside the Swift Dzire car were taken into custody and it was found that the money, which belongs to one Keerthi Kumar Jain of Goshamahal in Hyderabad was being transported for the purpose of distributing to the voters.
“ Rs 1.5crore is meant for Mahakutami candidate from Khammam, Nama Nageshwara Rao. Rs 2crore was meant to be handed over to Warangal East candidate Vaddiraju Ravichandra and Rs 2.3crore was to be given to Parkal candidate Konda Surekha’s husband Konda Muralidhar Rao,” Mr Ravinder said.
