HYDERABAD: Bachupally police arrested Shivaratri Narender, 29, a college drop-out, for smuggling ganja, and seized 41 kg of the drug and a car from him. Balanagar DCP T. Srinivasa Rao said Narender was initially into stock market trading but took to smuggling ganja after he ran into losses.
Based on a tip-off, Bachupally police intercepted Narender’s vehicle and found ganja packed in small sachets in the car dickey. Police said Narender purchased the ganja from one Rajesh of Vizag for Rs 2.15 lakh and received the consignment at Moosapet.
