Swathi case: Family to field lawyer, kin distance from Chennai advocate's move
Tirunelveli: The Infosys techie Swathi’s suspected killer, Ramkumar’s sister has said that they are to engage a lawyer to bail out her brother.
We have not fixed the one (lawyer), who is said to have submitted bail application for my brother,’ added Ramkumar’s second sister, Madhubala, who is working as a teacher in a private school.
Taken to hospital along with Ramkumar, who slit his throat when the police surrounded his house to nab him in the Swathi murder case on last Friday night, the police were said to have strictly instructed Ramkumar’s parents, Paramasivam and Pushpam and his two sisters, Kaleeswari and Madhubala not to speak to the media.
Even they could not contact their close relatives and the police did not give their family members a chance to consult a lawyer, complained Madhubala, who also said that they have planned to engage a lawyer to bail out her brother.
Ramkumar’s sister further said that her brother was falsely implicated in the murder case of Swathi. Madhubala too was not happy with the media that published the photos of Ramkumar’s parents and sisters despite their objections.
