Hyderabad: A credit card belonging to DK Sruthi Reddy, the daughter of BJP national vice-president and former minister DK Aruna was stolen from their Banjara hills residence.
Sruthi told police that their driver identified as Chinna alias K Bhisanna stole the card and swiped it for withdrawing cash. Banjara hills police registered a case against Chinna and started investigation.
According to police, Chinna has been working for the family for the past few years. From December 2022, he used to steal the card and withdrew money from it at a jewellery store in Banjara Hills. Since then, Chinna had withdrawn a total amount of Rs 1 lakh.
When Sruthi found this and confronted Chinna, he started lying and made up stories to evade giving money he has withdrawn.
Police said they are investigating the matter.
