Vijayawada: Disha police on Tuesday booked three youths on charges of harassing a woman by morphing her photos and threatening to upload them on social media platforms at Chinthalapudi village in Eluru district.
According to Chinthalapudi police, the woman and a youth, identified as Subramanyam, pursued their studies together. Recently, he morphed the pictures of him with the woman and sent them to his friends Kiran and Nani. Then, they started harassing her by sending morphed photos of her and threatened to post them on social media platforms if she failed to do their bidding.
Then, she approached the Disha police, who in turn, rushed to her rescue and booked the three youths under Sections 324, 354 and 374 of IPC following an investigation. The police also counselled the victim and assured her of providing protection.
