Warangal: Two persons involved in the illegal transportation of 7.4 kg of dry ganja, valued at Rs 1.86 lakh, were apprehended by the police in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on a Friday.
Superintendent of police P. Karunakar revealed that the suspects have been identified as Kandi Sai, 23, and Mandala Kalyan Kumar, 22, both residents of Bhupalpally town.
During a routine vehicle inspection, police officials detected the illicit transport of dry ganja in a car, which had been purchased unlawfully by Sai and Kalyan from one Thota Pavan. Subsequently, Sai and Kalyan were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Police began man hunt for Pavan.
