Hyderabad: The Neredmet police cracked the kidnap of a 19-year-old teenager, traced her and restored her to her parents within 12 hours on Friday. According to the police, Rajni was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend Santhosh with the help of his friend Madhu near her home in the morning.
Neredmet inspector A. Narasimha Chary said, “The victim was on her way to her relative’s residence in old Neredmet when the accused with his friend followed her in an autorickshaw. They pulled her into the vehicle and kidnapped her.”
Passerby who saw the incident immediately informed the police as well as her family, as the incident occurred near her house.
The cops started searching for the autorickshaw and traced the mobile signals of the victim and caught up with the accused.
The Neredmet police arrested the duo and registered the case under IPC Section 363 (kidnap) and sent them to judicial custody.
