HYDERABAD: In a combined operation, the Ramachandrapuram police and the Madhapur special operations team on Sunday arrested three persons and seized 120 kg of ganja worth Rs 50.9 lakh from them.
Two of the accused, Pritham Ray and Bidyut Ray, were selling the contraband to Rajesh Jain when they were arrested near the labour adda in Kollur village in Ramachandrapuram, Madhapur DCP K. Shilpavalli said. Another accused, Deepankar, who had come with the duo, escaped.
Police said the accused confessed that they had procured the contraband from cultivators in Malkangiri of Odisha state at Rs 4,000 per kg and were selling it at '30,000 to Rajesh Jain.
