WARANGAL: The police officials busted the case, which created a sensation in the district regarding the issuing of letters to the public representatives and various officials of Beerpur mandal in the name of a banned Maoist organisation, and arrested two persons along with seizing a computer, colour printer, and letters from their possession here in Jagtial district on Monday.
Disclosing the facts to the media, SP A. Bhaskar said that two accused were nabbed by the police. They were identified as Boga Lakshmirajam (54) residents of Narasimhulu Pally village of Beerpur mandal and Polu Prakash (54) residents of Sircilla town, he said.
After receiving complaints from public representatives and officials about the letters they received in the name of the Maoist group, three special teams were deployed under the leadership of Jagtial rural circle inspector Arif Ali and nabbed them.
Lakshmirajam was a former Maoist and had disputes with one Boga Sattanna regarding 60 yards of land present in his village Narasimhulapally. Suspecting that Sattanna had good relations with the public representatives, to threaten them, he printed the fake letters in the name of the Maoist group with the help of his friend Polu Prakash, who was running a flex printing shop in Sircilla town.
Not to get doubt on him, Lakshmirajam sent letters to public representatives and officials along with Sattana, said the SP, and appreciated the police team led by CI Arif Ali Khan, SI Ajay and Manohar Rao, and constables Ravi, Jalendar, and Suman.
