VIJAYAWADA: Family members are demanding that police change the suicide case of assistant pastor Kondru Velangini Raju to that of a murder case levelling allegations against the church management.
Raju was found dead by suicide in his room at St Peter’s Cathedral at Vijayawada on October 26. Raju’s mother Kondru Mary said that the family were made to run from post-to-pillar seeking justice but in vain.
Mary claimed that Raju was not a coward to end his life by suicide and that he was psychologically and physically strong and got thorough training. She recalled that Raju had made a video call on that fateful morning and was looking very active but in the evening the church management declared that he had ended his life by suicide which she said is totally false. She further said that pastors and management did not give information of Raju's death to them but passed it on to others.
She demanding questioning of all pastors, staff and management of the church and conducting transparent investigation by changing suicide case to murder case.
