Hate speech voice is of Raja Singh, confirms forensic lab report
HYDERABAD: City police, investigating the alleged hate speech case registered against BJP legislator from Goshamahal T. Raja Singh, found strong evidence in the form of the forensic lab report that confirmed his voice samples.
The lab report confirmed that the voice in the ten-minute hate-speech video was that of the legislator. The video clip was compared with his voice samples collected from the TS Assembly secretariat.
Initially, police collected voice samples of the MLA from the Assembly secretariat and sent it to TS Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), along with the video clip for verifying the authenticity of his voice.
The FSL asked for another video clip, following which a second sample was also submitted to the FSL, which compared voices in the sample and the video clip and confirmed that they belonged to the same person.
Police officials associated with the investigation into the case registered in August, claimed that the FSL report would play a key role in proving the case in the court. Other evidences are also being collected to build a strong case against Singh. Soon a charge sheet would be filed in the court for trial, they said.
After his alleged hate speech was uploaded online, police registered a case against him and arrested him. He was then let off, as the court directed police to serve notices on him and continue the investigation. Later, he was detained under the PD Act and is lodged in Cherlapally central prison.
