Hyderabad: Rachakonda police on Friday busted a ganja smuggling racket and arrested Manohar, a native of Jammu and Kashmir, and his associate Parveen Kumar, hailing from Haryana. The duo were smuggling dry ganja from Odisha to Haryana.
CP Rachakonda DS Chauhan said the accused were transporting ganja by concealing it in the custom-made compartment of a goods vehicle.
"The police team seized 510 kg contraband and a vehicle worth Rs 1.28 crore from their possession, " Chauhan added. Based on credible information, SOT Malkajgiri team along with Medipally Police caught the smugglers.
