Play school teacher allegedly beats four-year-old girl in Alwal, police investigate

Hyderabad: A four-year-old girl studying in a play school was allegedly beaten by her school teacher in Subhashnagar of Alwal for “being mischievous” in the class.
The girl had injuries on her legs and back. Alwal police said they were registering a case and beginning investigations.
The incident came to light when the girl started crying when her parents came to pick her from school. The parents immediately contacted the school management and also confronted the teacher who had allegedly beaten the child.
It was learnt that the teacher admitted to the parents that he had beaten the child and apologised. The parents, however, lodged a complaint with the police.
