Vizag sub-registrar caught red-handed accepting bribe
Visakhapatnam: ACB investigators apprehended joint sub-registrar-2 K. Srinivasulu at the Visakhapatnam main sub-registrar's office while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. He did so with the assistance of document writers S. Lakshmi and P. Venkata Rao, both private individuals. This illicit transaction was intended to secure the release of the original mortgage deed (MoDT) and to expedite the registration process for the sale deed involving a relative of the complainant.
Subsequent chemical tests on the fingers of the assistant document writer and that of the document writer both yielded positive results.
Tainted amount seized from a box in possession of document writer P. Venkata Rao and colour test conducted on the inner linings of the box yielded positive results, the ACB officials said.
