Warangal: A mentally challenged man killed his 11 year-old-daughter at their home in Battupalli of Manthani mandal in Peddapalli district on Thursday. There was no one at home when Gundla Sadanandam attacked his daughter Rajitha (11). Sadanandam was jailed for the murder of his wife and was out on bail, according to village residents.
When locals tried to intervene after they realised Sadanandam had murderd his daughter, he tried to attack them. Passersby called the police, who also came under attack from Sadanandam when they reached the spot. Police managed to restrain him but the locals did not allow the police to take him away.
Placing logs on the road out of the village, the locals told the police they would teach Sadanandam a lesson for harassing people in the village. At once state, they almost pulled Sadanandam out of the vehicle.
Police later managed to pacify the locals and took Sadanandam to the police station.
