Hyderabad: A youth from Chadrayangutta in the city identified as Liyaqat was allegedly beaten up the staff of a hotel at Panjagutta, following an argument when he reportedly asked for extra curd while having biryani at the hotel on Sunday midnight.
According to reports, Liyaqat asked for extra curd and in the process, an argument broke between him and the hotel staff, who allegedly assaulted him.
Alerted by other customers police rushed to the hotel, which is at a stone's throw away from the Panjagutta police station, where he and the hotel staff complained against each other.
Police shifted both parties to the PS for further inquiry. At the PS, Liyaqat collapsed. When he was rushed to a nearby private hospital, he was declared dead. Panjagutta police registered a case against the hotel staff and started a probe.
